ColdFusion and MS SQL Developer

Virginia Web Properties, located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is a leading Internet company with multiple web sites serving the online career and job search industry. We are currently recruiting for web developers to join our expanding technology team.

The candidates we seek must be able to demonstrate an ability to work in a team-oriented environment, possess top quality self-management skills, and an ability to consistently hit deadlines. Strong communication skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities include:
o Application design, documentation, integration, deployment, and maintenance in a multi server high transaction volume environment;
o Resolve technical operational difficulties as warranted;
o Ability to complete projects with aggressive timelines in a high intensity, high productivity environment;

Required Technical Skills:
o Must be proficient (2+ years) with MS SQL;
o Must be able to decipher undocumented code and document appropriately;
o Must have a high competency level in general web programming and scripting;

Desired Skills and Experience:
o Prefer experience in large scale internet business applications;
o Intermediate knowledge of ColdFusion or a strong desire to learn;
o Familiarity with performance improvement measures;

Required Experience:
o Two years of software development experience;
o Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area of study; or significant related work experience;
