**This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience

As a Sales Account Manager with Ashland Specialty Ingredients, you will grow sales within the Southeastern region (defined as Texas through Florida, up to Virginia) in line with business plan. You will manage all activities of direct and indirect (distribution network) customer base with an emphasis on building strong customer relationships, prospecting new market applications and new product initiatives. You will focus on generating and closing sales opportunity pipelines with sustainable and profit new business. Product lines are across multiple industries and include but are not limited to adhesives, paper coatings, mining and metallurgy, and agriculture.

This position is a home office based position and has the flexibility to be based within the southeast area of the US.
BS in technical field (Chemistry or Chem-E preferred)
A minimum of 5 years sales/chemical industry experience (more experience is preferred),
Strong technical background, and ability to relate to all levels in a matrix organization, strong oral and written skills.
