Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for its Santa Clara, CA facility.

The Semiconductor Gas and Chemical Technician (MEGASYS Technician) will work on shift without supervision, display technical troubleshooting skills for gas and chemical delivery equipment. Typical functions include cylinder and ampoule changes, controller troubleshooting, delivery system troubleshooting and advising equipment modifications. The technician must be able to train other technicians on operating and troubleshooting the system.

The technician's advanced knowledge of the gasses and chemicals will allow appropriate responses to abnormal conditions by performing complex troubleshooting, system adjustments and procedure development. The technician will have a firm understanding of the work processes necessary to complete maintenance tasks. The technician will use ISO Quality Management and be able to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of industrial experience
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, demonstrated troubleshooting skills and hands-on technical experience preferred.
- Proven record as a strong team player who is willing to work rotating shifts, on-call schedule, holidays, weekends or off shifts.
- Willing to perform physical labor which is generally associated with cylinder movements.
- The technician is a member of the Site Emergency Response Team at the First Responder Awareness level.
- Specific knowledge of pyrophoric, toxic, corrosive, flammable gasses/chemicals, regulators, valves, scales, transducers, mechanical fittings, excess flow devices in a high purity delivery system is required.
