Job Description
Job Family Responsibilities:
This Business Development position will be housed within the mining, minerals and cement Vertical Market segment. Focus will be on developing business opportunities within the mining, minerals and cement arena. Responsible for the promotion and development of Siemens Industry products and packages consisting of automation, controls, DCS, motors, variable speed drives and gears into the targeted mining, minerals and cement accounts to achieve a diferentiable customer experience and market share growth.
Leads business development activities for Siemens Industry in coordination with other resources (CAM, RAM, Sales Division, Business Unit), at target accounts. Participates in the development of account strategies for Siemens Industry at target mining, minerals and cement accounts
Participates in and influences standards by participating in appropriate industry conferences and shows. Identifies industry trends and competitor developments and communicates this back to appropriate internal organization
Applies an expert understanding of product and/or system scope and application - consulting with others as required to provide a complete solution. Skilled in effectively communicating at various levels within customer's organization from Senior Executive to technical Engineer the benefits of Siemens Industry products and solutions.
Communicates effectively and regularly back to the business units with respect to account status, opportunity status, industry trends and competitor developments AND key projects
Applies current knowledge of competitive products and competitors' activities - recommends appropriate detailed product to fill application gaps
Proposes specific product and value engineering adaptations that result in the most cost effective results that meet the customer's needs.
Establishes and maintains communication channels between all parties involved in all phases of the project.
Confers with the appropriate parties to discuss, clarify and mutually agree upon decisions arising from the design application, installation, operation, performance and delivery schedules pertaining to the integration of products into the customers operation
Education:
Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas.
Knowledge and
Location: This position will be located out of Denver, CO.
Experience:
Demonstrates extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments. Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledge for area of expertise. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organizations business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
Direction of Others:
Develops team members through mentoring and coaching in complex subjects.
Key Working Relationships:
Acts as advisor to top management and business partners on advanced technical matters. Represents the company as the primary external contact.
