Title: Sales Vice President - Government - Spectra - Dallas, TX

Position:

Provide leadership and coordination of company sales and marketing functions. Monitor and analyze sales and marketing activity against goals.

Responsibilities:
* Present oneself as a knowledgeable professional to the internal and external customer
* Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate existing and new sales associates
* Facilitate group sales meetings
* Direct and oversee the company marketing function to identify and develop new customers
* Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote Spectra
* Participate in the development of new project proposals.
* Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials.
* Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
* Supervise and meet regularly with the estimating team.
* Work closely with operations manager to insure sales support needs are met
* Supervise all Sales associates
* Maintain continuing education on all flooring products and the respective installation techniques.

Required:
* A high school diploma / GED is required.
* Minimum of five years experience with a computer
* Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
* Minimum of three years sales experience
Preferred:
* Sales Management experience
* Sales experience in a government / education environment.
* Good close and distance vision and the ability to distinguish colors is preferred.
* Knowledge of the products in the floor covering industry
* Strong communication skills - the ability to read and comprehend written reports and documentation is preferred.
* Potential to learn of all pertinent Winbid modules
* Strong mathematical skills is preferred.
* Ability to act in a professional demeanor with customers and fellow employees is preferred.
