As an intern at Liberty Mutual, you will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to a functional area (such as claims, finance, sales/service, underwriting and/or IT). You will focus on assisting professionals with marketing research for Liberty Mutual Agency Underwriters. The Companys internship program is intended to provide students from diverse backgrounds with the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining work experience.

Responsibilities
Gathering, analyzing and interpreting research on agents, policyholders and the industry.

Work with internal owners to understand the business issue and best match primary and secondary research approaches
*
Design, plan and execute primary research projects utilizing both qualitative and quantitative techniques as appropriate
*
Develop research reports and build business cases utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analysis
*
Conduct secondary research and track industry trends
*
Present results to internal stakeholders
*
Support various tracking studies including: Agent Satisfaction, Customer Satisfaction and Retention
*
Write surveys, program surveys, and analyze data on the back end
*
Utilize internal company data and secondary information in combination with primary research to analysis and reportsQualifications:

* Must be currently pursuing a MBA Degree
* Minimum of 3. 0 or higher GPA
* Prior professional work experience or prior internship experience
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Ability to build internal relationships
* Excellent communication skills, including presentation of ideas
* Easily adapts well to change
* Self-motivated and solutions oriented
* Excellent project management skills
* Solid background in business and analysis
* Ability to perform modeling/developing projections
* Advanced excel skills with the capability to build and use pivot tables effectively
* PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Access knowledge

* Ability to build business cases that could include financial analysis
* Research vendor side experience a plus
