Job description

As a Supply Chain Strategy Managing Consultant in our Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical Practice area, you will be expected to provide project management and oversight and support complex life sciences and pharmaceutical supply chain projects for our clients. Engagements typically involve technology, process and organizational change initiatives focused on quality by design, pharmaceutical product and process development, lean manufacturing, quality and regulatory, serialization, supply chain for consumer pharmaceuticals, and supply chain strategy and optimization; as well as the implementation of software packages designed to help manage these processes/decisions.

This role involves gathering facts, analyzing the clients business (competitors, markets, customers, value propositions, operational models, etc), drawing conclusions, and reporting upon that work. This is a hands delivery role in a complex environment. Responsibilities include providing advice & counsel to clients, oversight and project management for delivery success, and client satisfaction.

Specifically, the Management Consultant is responsible for execution of Supply Chain Management (SCM) process, and organizational and technical activities. These activities include: compilation of business requirements, demonstration of vendor packages, process re-engineering and design work, supply chain diagnostics, and project management (in support of work products and client deliverables). The consultant will be involved in improving SCM operational metrics, business case development and performance measurement. Candidates should have hands-on SCM experience in project management situations. The candidate needs to have demonstrated the ability to lead others, independent of management oversight, across project management, practice development, and assist in business development activities with senior staff.

Key performance measures for this position will be utilization, project/workstream management, delivery excellence, business development support, solution development, and industry subject matter expertise.

* This position requires travel 4 days per week.

* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 3 years experience in supporting supply chain strategy projects to large-scale pharmaceutical/ life sciences industry environment(s).
* At least 3 years experience in project management with multiple full lifecycle Supply Chain Strategy engagements.
* At least 3 years experience in working with supply chain issues and trends, and use of technology to enable efficiencies, collaboration, etc
* At least 1 year experience in dealing with current/future issues facing Pharma/Life Science organizations, and experience helping clients to effectively address these issues
* At least 2 years experience in one or more of the following: quality by design, late stage process development and tech transfer, biologics process engineering/control, lean manufacturing, contract manufacturing, clinical supplies
* At least 2 years experience in operational metric improvements, business case development, and performance measurements
* Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
* English: Fluent

Preferred

* Master's Degree
* At least 5 years experience in supporting supply chain strategy projects to large-scale pharmaceutical/ life sciences industry environment(s).
* At least 5 years experience in project management with multiple full lifecycle Supply Chain Strategy engagements.
* At least 5 years experience in working with supply chain issues and trends, and use of technology to enable efficiencies, collaboration, etc
* At least 4 years experience in dealing with current/future issues facing Pharma/Life Science organizations, and experience helping clients to effectively address these issues
* At least 6 years experience in one or more of the following: quality by design, late stage process development and tech transfer, biologics process engineering/control, lean manufacturing, contract manufacturing, clinical supplies
* At least 6 years experience in operational metric improvements, business case development, and performance measurements
* At least 6 years experience in project management of projects in 1 or more of the following key areas: Tech Transfer, Biologics Manufacturing Process Controls/Engineering, and/or Clinical Supply Chain.
* At least 4 years experience in consulting via a tier consulting or professional services firm
