As a Financial Services Risk Management Consultant, you will be responsible for overall successful delivery of risk management solutions to IBMs core banking clients. You will develop deep relationships within the client organization and build effective cross-functional teams across diverse stake holder groups including client business and technical organizations, IBMs domestic and global delivery organizations, and third party software vendors.
Associate Partner candidates need to demonstrate experience in building profitable a profitable practice and client relationships. The Associate Partner candidate will need a proven track record of working in a time-compressed, highly dynamic & potentially ambiguous client situation to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Your subject matter expertise and experience in the Financial Crimes and processes in the Financial Services business will enable you to participate in developing business requirements, re-engineering operational processes, facilitating the evaluation, selection, and implementation of supporting systems and tools to deliver high quality services to our clients.
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following industries:
* Capital Markets/Investment Banking
* Retail Banking
* Insurance
Candidates will need to demonstrate experience/expertise in one or more of the following key areas:
RISK MANAGEMENT
* Enterprise Risk Management
* Experience of: internal audit, IIA, COSO, data analytics, computer assisted audit techniques (CAATs), continuous control monitoring (CCM), financial statements, SOX, 404, internal controls, financial reporting, fraud and IFRS
ASSET MANAGEMENT RISK
* Experience within Financial Services and Regulatory and Risk Management
* Exposure to regulators (FED, OCC, SEC etc)
* Market risk modeling (VaR modeling, Stress Testing, Back Testing, risk sensitivities and scenario analysis) and / or knowledge of Asset and Liability modeling
* Basel II Internal Ratings Based approach (IRB) and its implementation
* Liquidity management -Stress Testing, VaR and ICAAPs
* Derivatives - OTC derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Exchange-Traded Derivatives, CDO's, CMO's, Options, FUTURES/SWAPS
* Basel II/III
* Solvency II
IT RISK MANAGEMENT
* IT Risk Management and IT governance e. g. TOGAF or other relevant architecture and systems planning certification
CREDIT RISK
* Risk parameters, quantifying exposures or losses, and modeling economic capital
Required
* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 5 years experience in Capital Markets/Investment Banking, Retail Banking or Insurance
* At least 6 years experience in operational risk, marketing risk, IT Risk or credit Risk
* At least 5 years experience in data analytics/data modeling, including some of the following: Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, VB/VBA, ETL tools or tech. expertise in an info. mgmt. discipline (data warehousing, or BI)
* At least 5 years experience in analytical skills and knowledge of quantitative risk management approach, e. g. , economic capital, operational, credit and/or market risk
* At least 5 years experience in a management consulting company (ex: Big 4, strategy firm, boutique consultancy) or a leading bank or insurance firm (ex: Goldman's, Barclays, JP Morgan, Prudential, MetLife etc. )
* At least 5 years experience in selling management consulting solutions to clients in the financial services industry
* Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
* English: Fluent
Preferred
* Master's Degree
* At least 8 years experience in Capital Markets/Investment Banking, Retail Banking or Insurance
* At least 10 years experience in operational risk, marketing risk, IT Risk or credit Risk
* At least 8 years experience in data analytics/data modeling, including some of the following: Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, VB/VBA, ETL tools or tech. expertise in an info. mgmt. discipline (data warehousing, or BI)
