Fabricates, adjusts, and operates standard and special types of machine tools.

1. Sets up and operates machine tools.
2. Applies knowledge of machining, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout of machine procedures.
3. Works from blueprints, engineering sketches, written instructions or manuals to program/support programming and run via Master Cam.
4. Verifies dimensions and alignment with measuring tools.
5. May be required to identify tooling needed for specific programs.
6. May be required to create fixtures for various programs.
7. Must be proficient at set-up, programming and operation of CNC machine tools.
8. Participates in special projects as required.

1. Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
2. Technical or vocational training preferred.

1-3 years of related machining experience.

1. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
2. Ability to operate related tools and equipment.
3. Knowledge of machining, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout and machine procedures.
4. May require some CNC programming.

Current security clearance is preferred. The ability to obtain a security clearance is mandatory.
