Job Description:
BASIC DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for developing training curriculum and teaching product service, weld process and product training courses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
. Develop training classes for the Service Technicians that work for Miller Electric's Authorized Service Agencies, Rental Businesses, and End Users. Partner closely with Miller Electric Business Units to assure effective training. . Create and give Power Point presentations . Utilize Word, Excel, Auto- Cad and other software as needed to generate the prints and handouts used in the training classes . Update and maintain existing training classes and materials. Maintain tools and equipment needed for testing and troubleshooting . Present "show and tell" talks to smaller groups in a lab or shop floor setting. Administer and maintain the Certified Service Technician (CST) program and Work with the Tech. Pub. Dept. to help maintain accuracy and usefulness of the Technical Manuals. Generate articles for the "Tech-Line" Newsletter . Develop repair procedures and troubleshooting techniques for welding and plasma cutting equipment. Assist in translating training materials from English to Spanish . Ensure Training Centers have the necessary equipment for service and process training. Rotate lab equipment and maintain inventory lists. Experience with Automation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BA Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required. Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) required. 4 to 6 years of experience in the welding industry . Automation background, both programming and operation. Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical diagrams. Strong presentation skills. Strong Computer background with Microsoft Windows. Proficient in Word , Excel, Power Point, and Auto-Cad software and 2 years experience in curriculum development. Willing to travel (30% to 40% travel required). Ability to organize multiple projects and manage multiple timelines. Demonstrated leadership in resolving welding equipment and application issues. Experience in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical welding systems . Strong organization skills . Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects. A team player who is a champion of change. Certified Forklift Driver required
