Challenging Mechanical Engineering/HVAC Internship – FT. possible
If you are a mechanical engineer that possesses an excellent academic background and engineering experience in energy analysis, engineering data acquisition and HVAC system design, our fast growing energy efficiency firm is offering an internship centered on performing the following tasks.
Daily Tasks –
* Perform commercial building energy audits using ASHRAE standards 62. 1, 90. 1, 100, Guidelines 1. 1 and Procedures.
* Work with manufacturing engineer to conduct thorough energy analysis (EUA and Heat loads) and HVAC system design.
* Work with utility engineer to exact Btu and kWh savings.
* Work with HVAC Systems installer to ensure installation precision.
* Work with Internal Sales Engineer to complete project proposals on time.
* Support Sales team with proposal presentation or understanding as needed.
* Work with marketing team to bring in new leads through client profile identification.

Core Qualifications –
* B. S. in Mechanical Engineering
* Previous work experience (at least 1+ years) with an engineering or HVAC firm.
* Ability to handle complex calculations.
* Hands on experience with design, qualification or commissioning of HVAC systems or overseeing installations.
* Solid understanding of HVAC Engineering principles and applications – be one of those people that loves engineering, not just one of those people that studied it.

Pluses –
* M. S. in Mechanical Engineering
* Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
* E-quest experience
* Experience working with an energy/energy efficiency firm.
* Understanding of sustainable building principles – LEED GA
