Job Details: This position is responsible for contract processing, monitoring status, completing contracts within operational deadlines, and duties related to the preparation of contracts for the Supply Chain Shared Services Center (SCSSC) Procurement. The position includes preparing drafts of purchasing-related contracts by developing contracts from a variety of sources, reviews contract language with respective Procurement staff, the Legal Department, and the vendor representatives. The contracts include but are not limited to Equipment Purchasing Agreements, Evaluation Agreements, Consignment Agreements, and Pricing Agreements, all for submission to vendors. The position also includes monitoring the status of contracts from initial inception through final signature. The employee will work closely with members of the Purchasing Department, Legal Department, other departments and vendors as necessary to finalize contracts. The duties include resolving basic business terms with vendors utilizing institution standards, as well as coordinating with the Legal Department on legal issues. Requires level of English to read and write business correspondence. Requires knowledge of standard PC word processing software. Requires knowledge of Contracting database. Five plus years of contract related work experience. BA/BS degree (AA Degree and Paralegal Certificate with five years contracting experience)
