Job Details:
Summary: Performs the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Job Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, maintains proper narcotic documentation and assures distribution of the medications. Under direct supervision, assures appropriate selection of dosing, administration and monitoring of medication. Compounds and dispenses medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. Provides medication information and education to medical staff and patients. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program or pre-pharmacy program with completion of the first year of college.
Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Employment history showing evidence of dependability, reliability and accuracy in their work.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: State Board of Pharmacy Internship License.
Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include abilty to perform job while standing, reaching, stretching and sitting for prolonged periods; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job; and abilty to lift upto 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending, and reaching; ability to transport 240 lb. cart.
