Job Description
Title: Cancer Care - Cancer Tumor Registry Coordinator
Location: MD-Towson-St Joseph Medical Center
Job Summary:
This position works as part of a self-directed team, which reports to the Director of Cancer Institute. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising the Cancer Registry activities and staff. This includes assuring compliance with state regulations and cancer program approval through the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Essential Duties:
*
Coordinates the daily functions of the Cancer Registry in compliance with the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer standards for an approved cancer program and with the state regulations of the Maryland Cancer Registry 15. 0%

Collaborates with other Cancer Care Program employees, physicians and various hospital departments to provide cooperative and organized registry functions
*
Ensures well-coordinated and organized performance of daily operations of Oncology Registry.
Education:
* Bachelors Degree is required.
* Masters Degree is preferred.
Experience:
* Two years of Registry Experience preferred.
* Knowledge of A & P. Medical terminology.
*
Proficient in PC and Internet.
*
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
License/Certification:
* Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)
