The primary responsibility of this role as Lead Delinter, US Cotton Supply Chain Department, is to assist the plant Manager in the day to day plant operations. The operations include: tracking chemical and bag inventories to meet processing demands and operation of plant equipment, monitoring quality, inventory, and overseeing plant personnel.

The incumbent will:
. Be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all plant equipment to achieve daily goals established by the site processing plan;
. Achieve quality results through plant equipment adjustments based on plant monitoring information captured during daily production to meet all quality standards;
. Perform cleanups in the plant to pass the inspection of the site manager thus eliminating the possibility of mixture of a variety or technology;
. Achieve accurate inventory counts by assisting the plant manager in month end physical counts on chemicals and reconciled against SAP;
. Lead and direct others in plant processes;
. Maintain good housekeeping practices;
. Follow all safety policies ensuring a safe work environment;
. Assist in other areas of the site, as needed.
The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
. High School diploma or equivalent;
. One to three years of experience in plant production, quality assurance, research, cotton ginning, or seed conditioning;
. Ability to read, write and understand measuring equipment and readings;
. Mechanical abilities;
. Basic electrical knowledge;
. Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include: Word, Excel, and Outlook;
. Ability to adjust to different job settings within the site;
. Ability to receive and follow direction and follow written procedures;
. Demonstrated strong organizational skills;
. Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills;
. Demonstrated team oriented abilities;
. Ability to work any shift (i. e. 7:00am - 3:30pm; 3:00pm - 11:30pm; 11:00pm - 7:30am);
. Ability to work shifts during peak season (September to May).
