Job Description
The Mortgage Loan Processor (HSS II) will have credit signing authority to clear conditions on loans previously approved. Verifies customer income documentation, resolves routine title issues including, but not limited to the following: vesting issues, child support liens, judgment liens, mechanic liens and undisclosed liens reconveyances; processes subordinations; resolves appraisal disputes; executes closing actions to ensure a timely and effective closing process; Maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communication with customers, mortgage loan officers, realtors, etc. Be the focal point of communication with customer and sales force in the closing process of the loan. Ability to manage a heavy pipeline 50 loans. Accountable for executing to goals and metrics.
Safe Act registration required and ability Obtain SASE Authority
This position may be subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE ACT requirements. If at any time the Bank determines that your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to register successfully or to maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act will affect your eligibility for continued employment and may result in your immediate termination.
Required Skills:
* Two - three years of experience in a loan production environment
* Knowledge of conventional and/or government guidelines
* Knowledge of processing underwriting and/or closing procedures/federal lending regulations governing real estate lending
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
Desired Skills:
* Bilingual-Spanish preferred but not required.
* EDGE / StatusMart experience desired.
* Ability to manage a heavy pipeline of 50 plus loans
* Self-motivated and highly organized
* Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks
* Flexibility to work extended hours during heavy workload periods
* Teamwork and customer service skills a must
