Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking experienced Gas & Chemical Technicians (Megasys) for its Austin, TX facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:
- Handling and change-out of gas and chemical containers.
- Manage inventories of gases and chemicals.
- Primary communication point to customer.
- Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance.
- Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs.
- Support Quality systems.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work safely is a core requirement.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and hands-on electrical/electronic experience.
- Experience with chemicals, hazardous gases, and gas analysis a plus.
- Computer skills in basic MS Office required.
- Must be a strong team player and able to work 12-hour shifts.
