We provide IP-based voice and data services, MPLS networking, data center and managed hosting services and communication systems to businesses and government agencies. Windstream also delivers broadband, digital phone and high-definition TV services to residential customers primarily in rural areas and we operate a local and long-haul fiber optic network spanning 100, 000 route miles.

Account Representatives are responsible to secure current and generate new revenue in an assigned base of accounts by achieving 100% of monthly sales and renewal quotas.
- Corresponds with customers via the telephone and email both reactively and proactively.
- Builds positive relationships with assigned customer base and identifies sales/renewal opportunities and presents and/or negotiates solutions to generate additional revenue.
- Completes profitability analysis and competitive bill reviews to ensure Windstream financial goals are being achieved prior to presenting sales proposals for assigned customers.
- Works cooperatively with customer support teams to share and receive information on service issues and sales opportunities. Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal resources to provide the best technical solutions and quotes to customers.
- Maintains active sales funnels by making a minimum of 100 calls per week into the assigned base.
- Pursues "win back" of former customers who have previously churned from Windstream.
- Utilizes customer management systems to register leads and track status of opportunities. Also utilizes systems to review existing rates and services of the customer's subscription. Creates a disciplined approach to monthly forecasting.
- Continually enhances product and service knowledge by keeping current on Windstream products and services through ongoing training provided through various internal resources. Understands how products apply to sales opportunities and takes action to drive personal skill development.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and /or 1-2 years telecommunications experience preferred; 1-2 years prior sales or account management experience preferred.
