Manage a large portfolio of complex credit relationships. Developing significant new business (both credit and cross-sell) and building strong relationships with referral sources, such as CPA, Investment Banking and Law Firms. Will underwrite and structure credits jointly with Credit Executive. Will act as lead negotiator and " quarterback " with prospects & customers. Responsible for the growth of income derived from the assigned portfolio. Growth income is expected via loan fees, syndication fees, international income and interest income. Experienced in calling on large public and private companies.
* Typically requires 5 years of direct Commercial Lending experience
* BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.
* Proficient credit underwriting and structuring skills.
* Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
* Demonstrated successes at new business development and income generation.
* Ability to manage difficult relationships.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a commercial banking portfolio.
* Ability to work in a team environment in sourcing and closing new deals.
* Proven consultative selling skills to sophisticated financial buyers focusing on proper capital structure options a customer or client could choose.
* Must have organized prospect targeting and pre-call planning skills.
* Strong organizational and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, projection software, prospect database software and skills in researching companies on the Internet.
* Ability to manage risk and monitor customer accounts for credit deterioration, adhering to the Banks credit policy and utilizing the Banks credit management tools.
