POSITION SUMMARY: Works on processing and product related activities such as processing documentation, processing efficiencies, product formulations and new product introductions.
Provides technical assistance (incl. troubleshooting) to various internal departments (operations, engineering, maintenance, QA, ) to support business objectives and increase processing efficiencies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates, plans and executes bench work and/or processing trials necessary for implementation/design of new processing systems or new products. Reviews and evaluates results and makes recommendations. Will work closely with Tech Services managers, plant, business team members and/or PTC to ensure desired process and product characteristics are achieved with recommended process.

Responsible for all processing recipes to ensure formulas and parameters are up to date. Evaluates equipment and product specifications to set up processing specifications. Assists with documenting best practices/ SOPs/Manufacturing Instructions for all processing steps and equipment. Coordinates with QA and Tech Services to set up QC checks and procedures for processing steps.
Participates in the selection of processing equipment, ensuring specifications are met and are in line with project and plant objectives.

Leads efforts in NCE and assigned compliance and consumer delight projects.

Leads the development of cost reduction/optimization opportunities through investigations of materials, sources, and machinery. Coordinates bench work as needed. Coordinates and executes plant trials as needed.

Will provide training to all levels of organization to ensure consistency of processing operations as needed.

Will work on other projects and shifts as assigned.

Safety and Environmental:
Associate shall follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs. Understand the environmental aspects of the position, as indicated on the aspects and impacts sheets, and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc. Will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc. )

Quality:
Associate shall follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices, report food safety and quality issues immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs. Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply.

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Science or similar technical degree required. At least two years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
