Position: Architectural Draftsperson
Job Description:
David Weekley Homes has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Draftsperson to join our team and work with Sales, Construction, and our Customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Communicating with buyers to understand their needs and then translating those needs into a working set of drawings.
* Drafting construction documents based off of conceptual design
* Interpreting architectural styles and massing
* Communicating updates on status, as well as understanding and implementing of city standards
Job Requirements:
* College degree or applied technical degree in Architectural Design preferred
* Strong CAD skills, REVIT and construction knowledge
*
Must also have the ability to understand a 2D concept and apply our construction standards to make sure it works in a 3D environment
* Must have a good understanding of both sides of the Design world - theoretical artistic side, as well as the functional
* An ideal candidate will possess the following essential soft skills: team player, excellent time and project management, problem solving, creative, detail-oriented, and a great deal of patience and flexibility in a changing environment
