Division:Thermoplastics Elastomers
Location:Saint Albans, Vermont

Join our team in Saint Albans, VT (Burlington Area) as aPlastics Process Engineerfor our TPE division. Working with supportive management in a collaborative team environment you will gain exposure to our customers, our products and our process from concept to commercialization. Combine your knowledge of polymer engineering principals with your strong foundation in mechanical engineering and be a part of this growing team.

In this role you will develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost efficient manner. Investigate and resolve work-in-process problems. Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters. Monitor assigned operations to assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.

* Monitor the existing production process

* Develop new production process methods based on their application and formulation of production.

* Work on projects to improve efficiency- ie. run rates, setup time, yield

* Assist is establishing specific work goals and performance standards in order to reduce reject rate and minimize downtime.

* Answers customer complaints and implements corrective action when necessary to resolve issues.

* Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

* Four-year degree or equivalent training experience in a field of study such as polymer technology, plastice engineering

* Three to five years plastics process engineering experience

* Knowledge of plastics and/or rubber compounding preferred

* Strong analytic ability and inductive thinking

* Requires imagination, creative thinking and good organizational skills

* Must be able to work in a team environment

* Six Sigma and Lean Experience preferred
