# Advertised Summary Job Description

The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center together with the Department of Biomedical Informatics seeks to hire a skilled individual to work as a Project Coordinator for a funded research project in breast cancer prevention. The overall objective of this project is to design a patient-centered decision aid and a provider-centered decision support tool within the electronic health record to enhance the identification of women at high-risk for breast cancer in the primary care setting; and then test these tools in a randomized controlled trial.

The incumbent will directly report to the Principal Investigators of this project. The incumbent will support the day-to-day operations of the project, which include but are not limited to: (1) organizing and participating in weekly research meetings, (2) communicating with the development team, programmers, recruiters, and key stakeholders to assess project needs and translate into project implementation, (3) participating in the development of recruitment materials, (4) submitting and maintaining regulatory documents for IRB approval, (5) collecting data for tracking and evaluation activities and coordinating data management/analysis, (6) assisting Principal Investigators in drafting budgets, grants, and manuscripts related to the research project. S/he will perform other related duties as assigned.

Requires a bachelor''s degree or equivalent in public health, information science, informatics or equivalent plus two years of related experience in clinical research.

The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of qualitative research desirable. Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.
