Our Software Engineers are responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Industrial Internet to control system edge products and software platforms. Join GEs Automation and Controls Technology team and use your skills to develop software for our Edge to Cloud offerings.
+ Be part of an agile team of 5-7 and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment usingthe latest software development technologies and infrastructure
+ Work with architects and product line leaders to understandproduct requirement & vision and develop multi-generation softwaretechnology plans
+ Be involved in all phases of software development fromproduct definition to production release
+ Apply principles of SDLC, and methodologies likeLean/Agile/XP, CI
+ Program in C#, C++, Java etc. ) all applications, components, systems and networks
+ Participate in continuous improvements to the developmentprocess to aid productivity and to increase quality
+ Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Scienceor Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent degree
+ Minimum 3 months of software development experience;internships will be considered as experience, new graduates are welcome toapply

+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to interfacewith senior leadership with confidence and clarity
+ Knowledge of Node. js for web front end development
+ Previous system administration experience with Linux andWindows
+ Experience developing software as a service, includingmicro-services (such as Cloud Foundry, Service Fabric, etc. ), containerization, web services Knowledge of applicationSecurity best practices
+ Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and softwareengineering principles
+ Knowledge of at least one Continuous Integration /Continuous Delivery Software (Jenkins, Bamboo, Cruise Control, ElectricCommander, etc. ) -Demonstrated ability to deliveron innovative ideas for products and processes
+ Knowledge of Ethernet communication protocols
+ Experience with embedded SW development and RTOS (Real-TimeLinux, VxWorks, QNX)
