Time as Reported Grade 005 Social Work-Patient & Fam Svcs
The receptionist must be able to provide a professional, friendly atmosphere for the patients, family, and staff that present to the main reception desk of Social Work and Patient & Family Services. The estimated program site has approximately 200 Social Work staff members. They must be able to use good judgment and firm decisiveness while maintaining the dignity of the customer and following the policies of the division. It is with great responsibility that the receptionist must be detail oriented, able to troubleshoot, gather precise information, follow through, and track accurate data correctly using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Answer the two-line ACD phone for Social work. Triage and determine the appropriate clinician (i. e. Nurse, Social Worker, Financial Counselor, Manager) to assist the caller. Reassure the caller if necessary. Establish the urgency of the situation. Execute necessary action (i. e. transfer or page to party, answer questions and direct patients). Take detailed message when necessary. Receive and process all visitors. Coordinate the opening and closing of the main office.
High school education and 2-3 years related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. College courses and experience in a health care setting are preferred.
