PT position available (20 hours), Monday through Friday Days
Carry a patient caseload and provide psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmocological and psychotherapeutic interventions and assessments for patients with severe mental illness in a community based, interdisciplinary clinic that includes psychiatrists, psychiatric RNs, LPN, MSW therapists and Case Managers. Focus on recovery-based models of care for this patient population. Must be NYS Licensed as RN and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. ANCC Certification as Psychiatric NP is required within 6 months of hire. At least one year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
