MD degree, with subspecialty training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases NY State Medical License, ID Board Certified, preferred.
1. Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows based on DOM teaching guidelines; 2. Share clinical call on the inpatient consultation services (includes weekends and holidays); 3. Provide CME lectures and medical student teaching in collaboration with other attending physicians within our Division; 4. Share responsibility for an inpatient transplant consultative ID service with at least one other ID attending. Responsible for consultations for ID related complications of kidney, liver, heart, and bone marrow transplant procedures; 5. Provide consultative services to transplant physicians regarding pre-transplant evaluation of recipients and evaluation of the suitability of donor organs for transplantation; 6. Provide consultative services and follow-up on an outpatient basis to transplant patients, working closely with a mid-level provider; this position with another transplant ID physician, will be the mid-level's collaborating physicians and will be responsible for supervising their work.
