The Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester Medical Center is actively recruiting a highly motivated candidate for the position of Assistant Professor in the Vascular Interventional Division.
Candidate must be able to obtain/possess a New York State Medical license, be fellowship trained and CAQ certified in Vascular Interventional Radiology. A commitment to quality, clinical care, research and teaching for the departments residency and fellowship programs is imperative. Training in peripheral vascular interventions, TIPS, hepatobiliary and genitourinary procedures and embolotherapy is required. Previous research experience is desirable, and the ability to initiate and conduct research investigations is important. Appointment rank and salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The URMC comprises a 750 bed teaching hospital with a long history of exceptional patient care as well as several satellite community hospitals. Centralized imaging interpretation also includes 2 free standing imaging centers. Furthermore, the faculty own and operate a free standing outpatient procedure room and clinic. The vascular Interventional section currently employs 7 full time vascular interventional radiologists, a physician assistant and has approval for two ACGME fellows. Diagnostic imaging and interventional equipment are state-of-the-art, and the section is staffed with excellent ancillary personnel.
