Position End Date
The position is for technical and project management support in an immunology laboratory conducting research involving small animals (mice) and non-human primates. The lab is conducting several complex collaborative research studies that would benefit from both benchwork and oversight of a person who will manage project time-lines, research data, organize and oversee sample transfer to and from collaborators, and compile and analyze experimental results. As needed, the candidate would provide direct technical support to the person or groups in need of assistance at particular time-points in a given project, and therefore familiarity with small animal procedures, tissue culture, molecular biology, and immune function assays is highly desirable.
The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in science and 3-5 years experience with small animal research (mice), immune function assays, and molecular biology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They must be capable of both independent work and managing research teams. Advanced computer skills in Excel, Powerpoint, and data presentation are required. Attention to detail, initiative, and superior organizational and interpersonal skills are preferred.
