The incoming Path BioResource programmer will work in a highly integrated team environment to support the Path BioResource core facility management system. Duties include user support for the existing Path Bioresource system (https://somapps. med. upenn. edu/pbr/portal/), including database maintenance, and ad-hoc report generation. In addition to assisting in operating and maintaining the existing system, incumbent will participate in the development, testing, documentation and deployment of re-factored and/or new functionality using modern web development tools and frameworks. Incumbent will work with various staff and faculty, including Path BioResource technical and business staff to carry out responsibilities. He/she will be able to meet with clients and address their need by changing current application or developing new pages. Position holds a shared responsibility for project timeline management including the development and execution of specifications and milestones.
