The Counseling Psychologist provides psychological services in our fee-for-service clinic utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach to anxiety, tics, and trichotillomania. The Counseling Psychologist will be an integral part of the team providing supervision to postdoctoral fellows, pre-doctoral practicum students, and psychiatry residents. In addition, this position will be leading an ongoing collaborative project between Hall Mercer and the University of Pennsylvania to provide evidence-based therapeutic services to the broader community. The Counseling Psychologist will provide ongoing support, supervision, leadership training and program development for Hall Mercers anxiety program in order to help the program become self-sufficient and profitable. The position will provide consultation to professionals in the center, as well as formal training through workshops and ongoing didactics to ensure the staff are implementing the evidence-based treatments. This position will also utilize this project as a way to develop these contracts with other community entities and further develop the training program at COTTAGe.
Highly advanced professional discipline. Ph. D or PsyD and 3 to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must pass Pennsylvanias Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment.
