**Advertised Summary Job Description**

Reporting to the Research and Finance Administrator, the Grants Coordinator provides pre- and post-award management for all grants and sponsored projects the Division of Oncology Genitourinary Research Unit.

Develop proposal and study budgets working closely with the Principal Investigators (PIs). Enter proposals into RASCAL. Track proposals, budgets, contracts and other documents through Research Administration office, IRB as appropriate and Sponsored Projects Finance Administration, with facilitation as needed. Execute electronic grants submissions. Code sponsored projects affiliated invoices. Reconcile accounts to monthly ARC statements. Assure a timely quarterly completion of Sponsored Projects Attestation Statements. Review statements for budget and expense items and advises PIs and Division Administrator of significant under/over budget exposures. Update account spreadsheets and alert PI and administrator to any overdrafts or other accounting problems. Ensure payroll transactions charged to grants and contracts are processed accurately and within established deadlines. Ensure invoices are credited to the appropriate account. Ensure establishment of consulting agreements and reconcile payments upon. Approve and monitor subcontractors' timely invoicing and received payments and update subcontractors' database accordingly.

Provide PIs with regular, structured updates on their projects' financial status. Update divisional grants master sheet. Maintain shared database with research and academic documentation, submission dates, reporting dates and other deadlines as well as NIH style CVs; update other support information, shared resources, and other proposal support documentation. Coordinate project and grant close-outs, including final reconciliation, transfers, payroll and time effort documentation, and final report to University Controller. Maintain financial and scientific records of project. Manage other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel. Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to work well with others and as part of a team are an essential part of the position. Strong work initiative and ability to work independently.

Knowledge of Institutional Financial Systems, NIH and other Federal Agencies compliances, GAAP.
