**Advertised Summary Job Description**

The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled individual to work as Coordinator of Infrastructure Management. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Coordinator of Infrastructure Management will organize all aspects of large capital projects including: research laboratories, major infrastructure and educational initiatives. In addition, the individual will be the point person for Departmental issues related to telecommunications and information systems. The individual will also maintain the Department inventory of computers and space insuring an accurate accounting of these assets, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate will be responsible for updating the CUMC centralized space inventory and the Department's corresponding database insuring that centrally allocated space costs are appropriate (and reallocated to departmental units accurately). The Coordinator will help create and enforce a department wide space policy and make recommendations for best use and best practices for space utilization and maintenance. In addition the incumbent will create reports (space density, funding per square feet of space occupied, etc. ) to support senior management decision making on space allocations. S/he may prepare requisitions, purchase orders and keep current on invoices for payment of IT related support and assets. The candidate will utilize existing space management systems and supplement with other databases as necessary to ensure appropriate record keeping is in place for all project related correspondence, contracts, drawings, specifications and other documents. S/he must have a demonstrated experience with trouble shooting and developing cost-effective solutions to mechanical problems.

To be successful, the incumbent will need to maintain a close working relationship with the CUMC Facilities Management, Space Planning, Information Technology, Telecommunications and other offices throughout the Medical Center and University. The Coordinator will maintain clear lines of communication throughout all phases of a project and coordinate services with CUMC Telecommunications, ITS (data), Facilities Management Operations, CU Security, as well as interact with vendor representatives for computer purchases and support, furniture, moving and signage services. S/he will develop (or consult on the development) and manage schedules for all aspects of projects including: design, construction, relocations, furniture procurement and installation, and move-ins.

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus fouryears of related experience.

Strong analytical and organizational skills required. Ability to make quick and precise decisions based on experience and knowledge. Must be strongly motivated, well organized and have strong interpersonal skills. Must have excellent computer skills that include Excel.
