**Advertised Summary Job Description**

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Trials and various Principal Investigators, identify and screen eligible patients for surgical clinical research studies. Ensure protocol compliance in operating room and hybrid suite for various cardiothoracic surgical clinical studies, and assist surgeons in research related procedures during cardiac and lung transplants. Diligence in extracting data points from angiograms is necessary to coordinate for hybrid CT procedures. Collect, process, centrifuge, and properly store and ship various specimen. Observe and document adverse events among enrolled subjects in research trials, and maintain detailed study files and complete paper and electronic case report forms to ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements.

**Minimum Qualifications for Grade**

**Applicant** **MUST** **meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant**

Bachelor Degree in Pre-Med field, Biology, or Chemistry.

Two years experience as a Research Coordinator or related in cardiac studies with familiarity in Operating Room and Hybrid Suite protocols, ability to analyze angiograms from interventional procedures in order to assess protocol related activities in a timely manner, and biological specimen collection and analysis.

Must be on-call as required for transplant studies.
