**Advertised Summary Job Description**

Clinical Coordinator (RN) needed in a comprehensive academic melanoma cancer program and practice. Requires an individual to provide care and education in an outpatient clinical setting. Clinical Coordinator will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking patient education efforts as it relates to solid tumor malignancies and related diseases, chemotherapy, Symptom management as well as psychosocial concerns of family, patients, and caretakers. Performs comprehensive nursing evaluations and patient education. Communicates with physician on day-to-day progress of patients in clinical practice. Collaborates with Infusion Center nurses and staff in the care and treatment of patients. Communicates with research nurse on clinical research studies as well as the recruitment of patients. Serves as a liaison between the physician and the patient/family for home and hospice care. Provides daily management of the clinical practice suites. Clinical Coordinator will play an integral role in the success of the clinical practice as the education provided by the coordinator will be part of the patient care. Performs additional duties as needed.

**Minimum Qualifications for Grade**

Requires a bachelor's degree in Nursing, plus four years of relevant nursing experience.

RN REQUIRED. Current NY State license and BLS Certification. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required. Completion of GCP training and COI required upon hire.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Oncology experience preferred. Certification in Oncology Nursing preferred.
