**Advertised Summary Job Description**

The Clinical Coordinator III / Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for working collaboratively with the LVAD team consisting of Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiologists and Nurse Practitioners under the guidance of the Chief Nurse Practitioner. Responsibilities will include assessment and management of patients undergoing implantation of mechanical circulatory support devices, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions under a medical collaborative agreement. Responsibilities will also include working with medical and nursing personnel to provide excellent care to MCSD patients. Participates in continuing education programs, attend weekly meetings pertaining to MCSD and Transplant. Engages and supports research activities related to MCSD.

**Minimum Qualifications for Grade**

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four (5) years of related experience. Degree in Nursing, BSN, and Nurse Practitioner license required.

**Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications**

**Applicant** **MUST** **meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant**

Master's degree in Nursing required. Must be detailed oriented and work well in groups. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.

**Special Instructions**

**Preferred Qualifications**

Experience in the management of cardiothoracic patients or critical care preferred.
