Postdoctoral Physician Fellowships are available in the MS Comprehensive Care Center and Research Group (USC MS Center) at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. The fellowship program provides one to two years of advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with MS and related autoimmune or inflammatory disorders of the central nervous system. Opportunities for involvement in clinical and translational research are available, including but not restricted to clinical trial participation, MS epidemiology, neuroimaging, and basic science.
Training will be conducted by the MS Division in the USC Department of Neurology, under the Direction of Dr. Daniel Pelletier including private MS clinics and MS clinics associated with Los Angeles County + University of Southern California (LAC+USC) Medical Center. The diversity of the patient population in the greater Los Angeles area offers unique opportunities to provide state of the art clinical care in a multidisciplinary, team-based program. Fellows will share the primary mission of the USC MS Center, which is to provide state of the art care to all MS patients, to gain a better understanding of clinical disease characteristics and pathogenesis and contribute to the development of new, innovative and more effective treatment strategies.
Eligible applicants must hold an MD or DO degree (or equivalent) and have successfully completed a residency program in neurology or pediatric neurology in the United States. Preference is for candidates licensed to practice medicine in the state of California.
