The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, Division of Genomic Medicine, are seeking an outstanding candidate with expertise in the molecular and cytogenetics of childhood diseases for a full-time faculty member with clinical service, research (clinical and translational), and teaching responsibilities at the Associate Professor level. The Clinical Genomics Laboratory Director will join a senior scientific team in the Center for Personalized Medicine.

The successful candidate must hold a MD or PhD degree, be eligible for an unrestricted California Medical License or be board certified in Clinical Molecular and Cytogenetics or Molecular Genetic Pathology, and have an established track record of clinical service, teaching and research. Expertise in cytogenetics, FISH, Chromosomal Microarray Analysis (CMA), and Sanger based sequencing is required. Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is preferred. Knowledge regarding regulatory issues as they apply to the field of molecular genetic diagnostics is required. He/she will participate in multi-disciplinary research and clinical teams working in the fields of clinical and cancer genomics at CHLA and KSOM.
