## Posting Summary:

The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Virginia seeks a Laboratory Specialist to work in the laboratory of Dr. Tajie Harris, Ph. D. This position entails providing assistance with laboratory management and experimental procedures. Duties will include animal handling, performing immunoassays and PCR, ordering supplies, maintaining laboratory equipment, and the management of undergraduate students.

A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or a related field is required. A minimum of one year of experience is required. A strong background in flow cytometry and/or confocal microscopy is desired.

This position is restricted and dependent on the continuation of funding.
