The Lab of Dr. Jing Yu in the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Virginia seeks a Research Scientist in a field of cell and developmental biology, specifically mammalian epithelial morphogenesis and miRNAs, to join a group investigating kidney development.
Applicants must have a Ph. D. degree in biomedical sciences, preferably developmental biology or cell biology, 4 to 7 years' experience, and proficiency in molecular and cell biology techniques including recombinant DNA construction, cell culture, primary cell culture, RNA and miRNA purification, microarray profiling, immunofluorescence microscopy, in situ hybridization, mouse embryo harvest and manipulation, cryomicrotomy, and electron microscopy. Independent research experience is preferred.
