## Posting Summary:
The Department of Physics at the University of Virginia is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to work with the experimental quantum optics group of Olivier Pfister on the implementation of quantum-state tomography by photon-number-resolved measurements.
Demonstrated experience in quantum optics with stable lasers and optical parametric oscillators, as well as proficiency in photon-number-resolved measurements is preferred; however, all candidates with superior proficiency in experimental AMO physics will be considered. The completion of a Ph. D. degree in Physics by appointment start date is required. Candidates must have effective oral and written communication skills.
This position will be supported by grants from the U. S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the U. S. National Science Foundation. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for one or two additional years, contingent upon available funding, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
