## Posting Summary:
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology and Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Virginia seeks a postdoctoral Research Associate to join a team investigating analysis of vital signs and other "big data" to predict adverse events in critically ill babies and children in the ICU. Methods include bedside monitor signal acquisition and processing, overseeing database management and development and testing of cardiorespiratory predictive algorithms.
Candidates must have a PhD in hand by start date, less than three years' postdoctoral experience and experience with MatLab. Previous experience in biomedical research and the ability to interact with physicians, engineers and mathematicians in a collaborative research team environment is preferred.
