The UVa Arts & Sciences department of Politics invites distinguished scholars to apply for the newly established AMBASSADOR HENRY J. TAYLOR CHAIR IN GLOBAL POLITICS professorship with tenure. Candidates should hold a Ph. D. and have a record worthy of an appointment at the full Professor rank.
We seek scholars of global politics, broadly defined, who have demonstrated scholarly excellence and leadership in the subfields of Comparative Politics and International Relations, or both. We are open to various substantive and regional specialties, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches. Competitive candidates will have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement and the promise of more to come. They are also expected to have distinguished records of teaching and service. The Department of Politics is strongly committed to enhancing faculty and student diversity.
