## Posting Summary:
The Finance Department within the School of Medicine is seeking a Financial Data and Reporting Analysts (Intermediate or Senior) to provide analytic support, develop financial models, research best practices and create and run novel reports in support of institutional initiatives. Some examples of those new processes and initiatives are the implementation of the new University Funding Model and the new School of Medicine Faculty Compensation Plan.
Incumbent works with the School of Medicine departments to establish new processes and the corresponding analytical tools that will be used both by the Basic Science and the Clinical departments. In addition, the incumbent partners with departments to complete annual budgets, develop ad hoc reports and provide financial analyses.
To be considered for the Intermediate Level: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in financial management and analysis is required. (A total of 9 years to substitute for degree requirement).
To be considered for the Senior Level: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field. The successful candidate will also have at least 5 years' experience in financial data manipulation, reporting, and analysis.
Qualified candidates at both levels will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and modeling skills, excellent communication and project management skills as well as good IT aptitude. Intellectual curiosity, learning capacity, good judgement and ability to manage up, down and across the organization are critical for the success in this position.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in fund accounting or budget experience in a higher education institution, medical school or medical center. Experience creating novel reports and presenting to decision makers is strongly preferred.

## Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

## Required Computer Applications:
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products, especially spreadsheet programs as well as other databases including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
## Preferred Computer Applications:
Knowledge of Oracle (GM, GL, LD and HRMS Viewer), and Discoverer, Clarity/IBM, MDX and SQL is highly desirable.
