The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Rank is dependent upon qualifications.
The incumbent will fulfill clinical, teaching and research duties in the Sleep Disorders Center and in the outpatient clinic. Candidates will also have opportunities to attend on the pulmonary consult service and in the medical intensive care unit.
Candidates must have a MD or equivalent, be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and be board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine by appointment start date and have a commitment to clinical excellence and teaching. A strong academic interest and/or previous experience in the comprehensive management of sleep disorders is required.
