The Director, HRIS and Analytics in collaboration with the IS & T team will be responsible for the design, implementation, communication, and administration of HR Systems that support Boston Universitys strategic objectives.
This position is responsible for directing the HRIS function/team and is a strategic and collaborative partner with the internal Human Resources (HR) and Information Services Technology (IS &T; ) team in the selection and implementation of new HR technology and system enhancements. In partnership with Human Resources COEs, will lead the design and delivery of HR processes, solutions, and business analytics that drive and sustain a high-performance organization.
Leads HRIS team to provide reporting, analytics, and metrics to support strategic decision making initiatives and is responsible for HCM information/data stewardship.
**Systems:** Lead the design, implementation, maintenance of SAP/ HR systems on the business owners side such as organizational management, personnel administration, time management, compensation, benefits, workflow and reporting.
Design and maintain a customer- focused HR website, and web-based recruitment tool.
Prioritize and leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of HR and other business owners throughout the University while serving as the HR Technology Portfolio Manager.
Lead discussions and negotiate across multiple functions (intra and interdepartmental business owners and subject matter experts) to prioritize HCM system projects, enhancements, additional functionality while balancing competing priorities based on University wide needs.
**Data Security**: Serve as the HCM Data Trustee and implement/maintain proper data protection procedures in alignment with Information Security
Maintain security access to various HR systems and on-line applications.
**Reporting** Expand the reporting landscape working with IS &T; and central offices to build new, enhanced and efficient data models to support HRs business critical and regulatory reporting needs.
Collaborate with HR management team for the establishment of HR metrics and operational data.
Analyze and report metrics on HRIS activities in support of strategic decision-making initiatives and for ongoing measurement and continual improvement. Based on the data propose and implement strategies for improving outcomes.
Drive the successful design and delivery of HR Metrics Dashboard and provide data to end-users to support business needs
**Process Improvement:** Identify processes and system functionality for improvement to support operational excellence. Focus on process redesign to help streamline and automate business processes surrounding the capture of key human resource data.
Optimize the use of HR tools, drive HR process optimization and standardization while balancing the business need for flexibility
Develop and implement quality and service metrics
**Communication and Education**: Provide tools and education sessions for customers/end-users to assist in skill development on HR systems.
Implement change management techniques to support implementation of new technology and system enhancements
Influence operational and executive leadership to create and maintain alignment around the project business objectives, measurable benefits, success criteria, scope and constraints impacting project delivery.
* 7+ years in HR, HRIS operations, system design and implementation
* Masters Degree preferred, Bachelors required in business or related areas
* Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to align key stakeholders and priorities
* Ability to maintain a positive professional manner at all times while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, deadlines and timelines
* Must be detail-oriented with strong leadership and time management skills
* Excellent analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of problem solving, root cause analysis, and associated solution implementation
