Administers and directs operations of the central power plant, electrical distributions systems and sub-stations, energy management, waste treatment facilities, throughout the facility. Maintains power plant equipment and operations schedules for staff as well as equipment and to procure energy, (gas, electric, oil) or generate utilities and their distribution systems. Also over sees and coordinates construction and renovation programs of plant equipment and systems. Works under direction of Facilities Manager and Regional Management. Incumbent is guided by a comprehensive skill in operation of power plant, building automations systems (BAS),   equipment, boilers, chillers, pumps, steam, hot water, compressed air, controls, alarms, lighting, water treatment and emergency power systems, plant maintenance methods, techniques, procedures, repair, maintenance and use of department equipment and supplies. JOB DUTIES: Plans, organizes, and controls functions and activities of all central plant and infrastructure that supports utility services to the campus. Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, and procedures.   Develops implements or guides implementation of new and/or modified plant maintenance programs, services, policies and/or procedures. Meets with client administrative and supervisory staff, as well as community groups, agencies, contractors, architects, and engineers to plan, organize, coordinate, and/or communicate programs, services, policies and/or procedures. Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to the contractual Scope of Work, Service Level Agreements for each site, Key Performance Indicators, to maintain uninterrupted power supply. Insures adequate inventories of supplies and approved requisitions for equipment and supplies as authorized. Prepares and manages budgets for plant utilities management and energy measures program. Procures energy and forecast usage. Reviews operating conditions of plant and revised as necessary to gain the most efficient use of equipment. Prepares and maintains a variety of departmental records and reports. Prepares Monthly Reports for clients according to SSC procedures. Manages and insures compliance with State, or local regulatory and code requirements; insures compliance with federal and local work place safety regulations. Interviews independent contractors to obtain and analyze bids, including blueprint analysis of proposed changes.   Negotiates with outside vendors for preferred agreements. Serves as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers. Oversees the         completion of a variety of management functions with personnel. Plans, coordinates,         and monitors construction and development of plant and infrastructure facilities.         Administers Project requisition and approval processes with client, as         specified in client or owner agreements. Performs other services and duties, as         delegated, and serves on a variety of facility committees as required by         clients or the Scope of Work agreements. JOB REQUIREMENTS:         Bachelor ’ s         degree in Engineering, Property / Facilities Management, or related fields         highly preferred. Minimum         7 years responsibility at a management level in areas of power plant         generation management, engineering, maintenance, or related fields.   The         ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed         instructions orally and in writing. Must         have proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Software, Building         Automations Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
